SMALL GROUPS
Small Groups are launching!
Join a virtual group to study, pray, fellowship, and grow with others in the congregation.

Generous Justice:
We'll be reading Tim Keller's book together, which makes the argument that the Bible is a "fundamental source for promoting justice and compassion for those in need". This book is formative for understanding God's generous grace, and therefore is an important read for any disciple of Jesus to "do justice" in the world (Micah 6:8). We'll meet weekly on Sunday evenings, 8-9:30pm over ZOOM. First meeting Jan 24th. Leaders: Jeff & Greta Myers

Practical Training for Sharing the Gospel:
This group is designed to equip disciples of Jesus to share the gospel. We'll read Mack Stiles' brief book called "Evangelism", pray for open doors to share the gospel, and learn how to lead a course using the "Alpha" curriculum with the goal of launching new groups. We'll meet every other Thursday on ZOOM, from 12-1pm. First meeting Jan 21. Leader: Jeff Myers

Reading Romans:
Exactly what it sounds like! Each week we'll read the book of Romans in its entirety, exploring some different English translations. It takes about an hour to read Romans completely--which is what we'll do each week. This is not a study group, rather, a time to listen to God's word, uninterrupted, and grow in Him. Meeting weekly over ZOOM on Wednesday mornings, 8:30-9:30am. First meeting Jan 20th. Leader: Jeff Myers

Tough Topics:
This group is continuing from the fall to discuss challenging contemporary topics through the lens of Biblical justice. We seek to understand and to find practical ways to effect change especially in San Diego. Upcoming topics will include immigration and asylum, homelessness, prison reform, child advocacy, the environment and more. Join us for a specific topic or for all of them. We will meet the first and third Tuesday of each month from 6:30-8:00pm. via Zoom. Facilitator: Sandy Rickon

Looking at Proverbs
This group focuses on Bible reading, prayer, fellowship, and discussion. We will be reading through Proverbs and considering the meaning and the application to our current lives. We will meet on Zoom at 6pm on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month beginning February 4th. Facilitator: Carla Mercer

Tuesday Night Men's Analytical Study:
Our Men's group is continuing our online study on the subject of love, having completed our exploration of 1 Corinthians 13 and now moving on to 1st John Chapter 4. This study uses Walt Henrichsen's analytical method; diving deep into each verse using the study tools from Blue Letter Bible. Our objective is to understand and apply the passages but also to learn the study techniques so that we can teach others. We publish our observations, interpretations and cross references after each chapter. Commentaries are consulted afterward to evaluate our conclusions. There is no homework assigned, or prerequisite knowledge required. Leader: Glenn Thomas
GROUPS MEETING REGULARLY
