BOY SCOUTS

A Century of Ministry Together

Just seven years after Boy Scouts was first started in America, Troop 15 was chartered by the First Presbyterian Church of San Diego. From 1917 to today, Troop 15, welcoming youth from all backgrounds and faiths, has enjoyed the continued support of the church.

Troop 15 has a rich cultural & historical legacy and is the second oldest Boy Scout Troop in San Diego. It was the home of San Diego's very first Eagle Scout: David Wilt, who achieved Scouting's highest rank in 1920.

Currently there are over 45 boys registered and active in the troop. The boys range in age from 11 to 17 years old.  Troop 15 is a youth-led troop that enjoys the values & support of their families, friends and adult volunteers. Troop 15 has had over 115 boys earn the Eagle Scout rank since its start.

The Troop is an active one, with monthly adventure outings such as rock climbing, fishing, snow boarding, skiing, backpacking, bicycling, canoeing, and camping. Activities are geared toward being youth-led within a nurturing  environment, providing opportunities for our scouts to build leadership skills and character.
