9/11 Memorial

San Diego, CA (September, 2011) – On Sunday September 11 at 6:00 PM, First Presbyterian Church San Diego, at 320 Date Street, hosts a ten-year memorial commemoration of the 9/11 tragedy that occurred in our country. Dr. Lloyd Ogilvie, Chaplain of the United States Senate (1995-2003) will give a special tribute. San Diego Fire Chief Javier Mainar will honor local heroes. Two powerful musical compositions, Memorial by René Clausen and Dona Nobis Pacem (Grant Us Peace) by Ralph Vaughan Williams will be presented by the combined choirs of First Presbyterian Church and the La Jolla Presbyterian Church accompanied by members of the San Diego Symphony. The concert is free to the public and will be held in the church’s historic sanctuary.
