Scouts at FPC

Boy Scouts of America have been a part of First Presbyterian Church for over 90 years. The first Eagle Scout west of the Mississippi was one of our boys–in 1917!

Troop 15 (age 11-18)

Troop 15 meets every Tuesday at 7 pm in the Joe Cooksley Scout Room. With a current roster of 50 scouts, we enjoy robust monthly outings including hiking, snow boarding, fishing, biking, camping and of course FUN.  Summer Camp in July will include a high adventure to the Gran Tetons for older scouts (July 11-17) and a trip to Forest Lawn Scout Reservation (July 25-31) focusing on advancements and merit badges for younger scouts. Contact the Scout Master, Paul Longworth at martha4longworth@cox.net to get involved.

Pack 15 (boys 1st-5th grade)

Pack 15 holds monthly pack meetings on the fourth Thursday, weekly den meetings, and monthly outings that include camping, pinewood derby, parades, snorkeling, and more. Check out the Pack website at http://sites.google.com/site/sdcubscoutpack15/ for more information and upcoming activities.
