Nursery Caregiver:
Responsibilities:

  • Once a month commitment
  • Lovingly care for babies and toddlers
  • Be present in the Nursery on scheduled day.

Top

Preschool Coordinator:
Responsibilities:

  • Contact, recruit and schedule volunteers for Preschool class.
  • Classes needing to be covered are 8:00am, 9:00am and 10:30am services. There should be 1-2 volunteers each hour.
  • Copy & mail out schedules and curriculum.

Preschool Teacher:
Responsibitities:

  • Be present in the Preschool class on assigned day & time. (once a month)
  • Greet each child upon arrival and assist parents as needed upon check-in.
  • Help guide Bible learning by teaching the lesson or assisting the staff person. (training will be provided)
  • Together with staff, help facilitate snack and craft activity.
  • Pray for the children in Preschool.

Sunday School Superintendent:
Responsibilities:

  • Arrive at 8:45am to welcome families and check-in children as they arrive for Sunday School.
  • 9:15-9:30am: Facilitate offering, introduce Memory Program (led by Mrs. Henry) & give announcements.
  • Assist teachers as needed (Discipline, substitutes, communication with Parents, etc.)
  • Together with Director, arrange for classroom teachers and schedule occasional; projects for Special days (ie mother's day, Easter, Mission Projects etc.)
  • Help facilitate bulletin board decorations
  • Pray regularly for children and volunteers

Qualifications:

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Desire to help children, families and volunteers grow in their relationship with Jesus.
  • Willing to serve the families of First Presbyterian Church

Elementary Sunday School Teacher:
Responsibitities

  • Volunteer quarterly (13 weeks) during the 9:00am Sunday School hour.
  • Prayfully build relationships with children.
  • Work with your partner teacher to provide an effective lesson each week.
  • Be well prepared to teach your lesson each week. (curriculum and training will be provided)
  • Encourage each student to actively participate in the lessons.
  • Greet each child upon arrival and assist parents as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with Children's Director any needs or concerns you may have about your class.
  • Participate in scheduled training & volunteer meetings.
  • Complete the volunteer application.

Worship Leader:
Responsibitities

  • Help lead Children in Worship from 9:05 am-9:20am
  • We need singers as well as musicians to help.
  • We also have a sound system and children's Worship CD's that you can use.
  • Help children learn to love and Worship our Lord through song.

Memory Verse Helper:
Responsibilities

  • Be willing to listen to children ages 2 & up recite Memory Verses.
  • Time commitment is either 8:45am-9:05am or 10:00am-10:30am.
  • Memory verses are printed for you, so you don’t have to already have them memorized- but maybe you will learn them.

Midweek Coordinator:
Responsibitities

  • One month a year commitment. (usually 4-5 Wednesdays from 6:00pm-7:30pm)
  • Help plan and facilitate Wednesdays in the Word Elementary or Preschool Lessons.

Supplies Coordinator:
Responsibitities

  • Use your organizational talents to help Children's Ministry volunteers with their needed supplies.
  • Organize supply closets and tell Director when additional supplies are needed.

Bulletin Boards:
Responsibitities

  • Use your creative talents to create colorful christian Bulletin Boards.
  • We have 9 bulletin Boards that need to be periodiacally changed.
  • Work with Children’s Director to communicate ideas and needed info on appropriate boards.
