We are blessed again this year to have the opportunity to invite your child to join First Presbyterian’s Children and Youth Ministries in attending Forest Home Summer Camp. Every year FPC sends over a hundred and fifty campers and counselors to this is a week-long, overnight camp in the San Bernadino Mountains. First Presbyterian Church will be subsidizing the true cost of the camp in order to help families give their children this amazing life experience. (Additional scholarships are available as well.)

The dates for current 2nd-7th graders will be June 29th-July 5th, 2008. Our 8th- 12th graders will be attending camp from June 22nd -28th, 2008.

Forest Home Ministries operates three distinct Christian camp sites in Southern California: MILL CREEK CANYON, THE WOODLANDS and OJAI VALLEY. Each site is a year-round, interdenominational, non-profit ministry serving 144 programs to 40 denominations and over 63,000 men, women and children annually. First Presbyterian Church sends children and teens to Mill Creek Canyon. Mill Creek Canyon is about a two and a half hour drive from San Diego. This scenic and historical 500 acre center rests a mile high in a valley of two 10,000 foot mountain peaks and is recognized as being a place where God moves. Their mission is really quite simple: "To provide a place, away from the distractions of the world, where you can hear the Word of God and encounter Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit."   • Current 2nd & 3rd graders will attend Indian Village June 29th-July 5th, 2008. Your cost is $225.00. Kids will sleep in Teepee’s and study God’s Word, have evening council fires and do a variety of fun activities.
  • Current 4th graders will attend Adventure Mountain June 29th-July 5th, 2008. Your cost is $250.00. This is a jungle themed camp. Kids will live in Safari Tents and explore God’s creation as they participate in the Skate Park, climbing wall, confidence course, email missionaries in the jungle and much more.
  • Current 5th- 7th graders will attend Creekside June 29th-July 5th, 2008. Your cost is $300.00. This Middle School/Jr. High camp is rustic and features an athletic field, a sand volleyball court, an inside gymnasium with recreation carpet and ping pong tables, and outside amphitheater with a fire ring on site.
  • Current 8th-12th graders will attend Lakeview June 22nd -28th, 2008. Your cost is $310.00. This High School camp features cabins surrounding the peaceful Lake Mears, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, ping pong, pool tables, and hiking trails.
  • Sign-ups will begin Sunday, February 24th, 2008.
    Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.
    Completed registration and full payment* are required in order to reserve a space for your child.
