Faith Weaver Curriculum Overview First Presbyterian Church Children’s Ministry uses FaithWeaver curriculum by Group Publishing in grades Preschool to 3rd grade. This is an exciting curriculum that has all ages studying the same Scripture at their own age appropriate level. FaithWeaver curriculum covers the New Testament every year and the Old Testament in chronological order every 3 years. Each child will receive a colorful take-home paper that tells parents what they learned in class. In addition, each family should pick up a “Driving Home the Point” paper which has activities and Scripture to read during the week. There are hints for each age level in your family as well as a website for additional study information. We would like to encourage you to place these papers on your kitchen table and reinforce in your children the lessons they learn each week at Church. We believe it is important to work together as a family & Household of Faith to teach our children the Word of God. This can be a very exciting new way to impact the lives of our children. New Tribes Mission Curriculum 4th graders
at FPC get a firm foundation with our New Tribes Mission Curriculum. During
Sunday School they work through a chronological Bible study from Creation
to Christ. Owning your Faith Our 5th graders have studied the Bible, know the stories and now it is time for them to apply what they have learned to their lives. During this year, 5th graders will explore what it means to have Christ at the center of their lives. They study “What is Worship and why we do it”, the Sacraments, Missions, Participate in a Puppet Ministry to other elementary kids, and learn how to “Experience God” in their daily lives. |
