FPC Seniors Ministry

FPC Deacons give leadership to Seniors Ministry within our Household of Faith.
The most significant aspect of this ministry is Senior Friends—finding friends for the just under one hundred seniors who are shut-in or very elderly. Senior Friends are asked to contact their senior monthly with a note or call or visit. In addition, Senior Friends are encouraged to request meals, a handy helper or other services from the deacons as the need arises. An incidental, but still important, aspect of these friendships is the delivery of a plant at Easter and Christmas.

Several of these friendships have blossomed into significant relationships under God’s watchful eye. If you are a regular part of our household of faith and would like to be a Senior Friend, please contact us at deacons@fpcsd.org.
